Who operates this website?

This personal website is operated by Peyman Eliassi. See the contact page for available ways to get in touch. This page is a starting policy template and should be reviewed against your actual domain, analytics settings, data processing agreements, and applicable law before public launch.

Information this site processes

The public blog does not offer user accounts or a contact form, and it does not ask visitors to submit personal information. If you contact me using an external service or email, that service handles your message under its own terms. Cloudflare, the hosting provider, may process network requests and security-related metadata when delivering the site. Refer to Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Color theme and analytics choices

The site stores your dark/light preference (pe-theme) and, if optional analytics are configured, your analytics choice (pe-analytics-consent) in browser local storage. These preferences stay in your browser until you clear them. They are not sent to the blog’s own server as part of a user account.

Optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

If the site owner enables Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity, their scripts are not loaded until you select “Allow analytics.” Those providers may collect usage and device information and may place their own cookies or use similar technologies after you opt in. See Google’s privacy policy and Microsoft’s privacy statement. Which services are enabled depends on the site’s deployment settings.

If you decline, neither optional analytics script is injected by this website. The site still makes the network requests needed to serve pages. Withdrawing consent prevents future optional script loading after a refresh, but does not retroactively delete data previously collected by third parties.

Hosting and external links

The public pages use system fonts and do not load third-party font files. Outbound links to GitHub, LinkedIn, and other services are subject to those services’ privacy policies. Embedded external content is not included in the starter articles.

Retention and your rights

Local preferences remain on your device until you remove them. Third-party retention schedules are controlled by the corresponding provider and the site’s configured settings; no precise retention period is promised here. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, or erasure of personal data. Use the contact details on this site to make a request.
